Weymann 12 string 1915
Click to enlargeClick to enlargeActual guitar featured in Rick Batey's 'The American Blues Guitar'. Possibly the only one left in the world. Parlour size and great sound. Weymann are more famous for their mandolins and banjo's than guitars. This one was made in 1915 thus surviving two World Wars. Made from Brazillian Rosewood it's rare in design feature as six strings pass through the tailpiece and six through the fixed bridge. This puts less string tension on the table. Martin made some Weymann's between 1900 and 1920, so it could have possibly made by Martin.
