Martin Parlour Guitar 1800's ?
Click to enlargeClick to enlargeBeautifully made instrument made around 1850 with rosewood over spruce back, solid sides. Ebony fingerboard and fancy ebony pin bridge. Engraved ivory button tuners. Nice wood bindings. A few minor well repaired age cracks. Possibly an early Martin style 18, same headstock, heal design and trim, but different bridge and bracing pattern. A mega rare early museum piece of Americana showing early European influences on American designs ? purchased from Top Shelf Music. see Links page.
